We had a great tour with Bare Infinity and For Selena!!! Thank you everyone again!! Of course the audience especially =)

In Katse we lost lights during the show, and in Jämsä some people got taken away by an ambulance...huhuu...and some people happened to wake up in the wrong city with no intention of being there hehehe. But anyway, gigs were good, =) . Our lovely Greek friends also got into the Finnish drinking business with a great talent, and at Inferno by Saturday everyone was having the ball of the year, including us and Jyväskylä boys & Me and Annika hehehe. I also have to mention, that Angel- Enkeli-Perkele, covered Arch Enemy as a surprise on Tampere gig, and I swear that some people actually crapped their pants hehehe. She´s awesome.

We´re back in business now, back to studio, and next week we will take new promopics... and next sunday we will also shoot a video for the first single...so it´s pretty hectic , but happy =) . We also have to think of some halloween stuff next week, what shall we dress like in Latvia!!! heheheee. The info on Latvian Halloween shows on 30 the and 31 st October is below. ..it´s going to be cool = D .

News on Manzana.fi

Manzana has started working on their third studio album in August and has therefore withdrawn from live shows for a while . Next gigs will take place in October, when Manzana tours some Finland with a Greek metal band Bare Infinity and with For Selena And Sin. In October Manzana will also be touring some Baltic countries and in January more Europe. The band is happy and excited about the new songs, and waiting to get back in the bus already ! The dates will appear on Myspace as soon as possible, stay tuned!!

Us!! ( Radalle.com festival )

It´s been a while, since I wrote,

but we have strated recording the new album and we have a lot of writing to do....so, at the moment I sit on the studio floor , Tomi is on his way here to jam some stuff with Henkka and I think of stuff I wanna sing about ect.

After summer festivals we did play a show two weeks ago at Myllynkulma in August 8 th ; it was a Harley Davidson biker party with Musta Joutsen in the woods, and we had a hell of a lot of fun hehehe. We also played one new song, its called Everything But You, and during that a huge bike appeared on stage and I forgot the lyrics.... hehehe. It wasn´t the burning rubber that smelled, it was the burning wood of the stage floor ....

Anyway, we are alive and kicking, and back in the bus on October, when we tour some Finland with a Greek metal band Bare Infinity !!! We might get more songs out before that....maybe a single too ....=) well see...

But new album should be out around January...

Villieläin debut Julma Satu is out too, was released last week, so I had to go out drinking with them too, since I wrote the lyrics on the album...hard duty = )( the drinking, I mean ) . It was released by Universal Music, it came out real good, Produced by Aksu Hanttu of the Entwine & Hannu Sormunen. Check it out !

It is raining like hell in Finland...great.....

We´ll go practise tomorrow at 14, Klasu can´t come since he´s got like 9 gigs on Tammerfest heheh. He may be one of the busiest man on this festival.... Actually there is a few Tampere guys who seem to play in every bar this weekend, because they have shows with all line ups they work for, and of course don´t usually have a gig with all of them the same time...  And also many technicians run wild from place to place when it is really happening here in our little town....that´s cool....Tampere is alive... =)  

Lets hope it all goes well and we can enjoy a great festival ! And please, no rain tomorrow... I want to drink cider in the park.... heheh

and today, maybe just one, inside...maybe ...two...but no more...

Hello!

   I  was performing as a guest artist at Henry´s Pub on June 21 st. here  in Tampere . I played with the great houseband Fisherman´s End, which was fun! Klasu was there too, he plays in the band =) . 

I covered the   Zombie of the Cramberries and What´s Up on the 4 Non Blondes, and I´m Only Happy When It Rains  and bunch of other stuff, like Janis Joplin, Skunk Anansie The Garbage....Thanks for the clips K. = ). Of course we also drink terribly a lot of Fisu after the show, and I met some great new people,  thank you everyone ! Now I also know why the backstage is called kusikellari hehehe  

about the set:

These songs were my teenage favourites, Zombie of the Cranberries was actually the first song I have ever performed live, and that was as real young....year 1995, with a Mellow- band, at the Klubi of Tampere ! The nite  was titled as  "angry dykes & some others" ,  because most of the songs I performed were composed by lesbian women.  It was just a funny co- incidence I realized, while  putting together this set, that most of my idols as a teen actually were lesbians; I loved bands like Skunk Anansie and 4 Non Blondes, but it´s not something that I meant to point out as a political statement here now....I just liked the way they sung. And maybe lesbians were just more likely to play "like men"  back in the 90´s, to rock it, and not just smile up there to show off their tits.... Not that there is anything wrong with tits either, but as an angsty teen, you just wanted someone to scream out for you....hmm...especially if you had no tits at all yourself, like me, heheheh. 

Thank God when people get older, they get fatter, some things get fixed by nature,at least a bit, and with money I suppose you could get just about anything big nowadays heheh.
