Hello!

   I  was performing as a guest artist at Henry´s Pub on June 21 st. here  in Tampere . I played with the great houseband Fisherman´s End, which was fun! Klasu was there too, he plays in the band =) . 

I covered the   Zombie of the Cramberries and What´s Up on the 4 Non Blondes, and I´m Only Happy When It Rains  and bunch of other stuff, like Janis Joplin, Skunk Anansie The Garbage....Thanks for the clips K. = ). Of course we also drink terribly a lot of Fisu after the show, and I met some great new people,  thank you everyone ! Now I also know why the backstage is called kusikellari hehehe  

about the set:

These songs were my teenage favourites, Zombie of the Cranberries was actually the first song I have ever performed live, and that was as real young....year 1995, with a Mellow- band, at the Klubi of Tampere ! The nite  was titled as  "angry dykes & some others" ,  because most of the songs I performed were composed by lesbian women.  It was just a funny co- incidence I realized, while  putting together this set, that most of my idols as a teen actually were lesbians; I loved bands like Skunk Anansie and 4 Non Blondes, but it´s not something that I meant to point out as a political statement here now....I just liked the way they sung. And maybe lesbians were just more likely to play "like men"  back in the 90´s, to rock it, and not just smile up there to show off their tits.... Not that there is anything wrong with tits either, but as an angsty teen, you just wanted someone to scream out for you....hmm...especially if you had no tits at all yourself, like me, heheheh. 

Thank God when people get older, they get fatter, some things get fixed by nature,at least a bit, and with money I suppose you could get just about anything big nowadays heheh.

NEW TOURPICS ADDED ON MANZANA MYSPACE ! 

Hello!

We´re back from the tour.... I´m still a bit messed up in my head, so I try to write the tour diary in a near future when my brain starts working again heheh. It´s the age you know, I´m not a teenager anymore!!  But it was great fun, we had a real good group together in a bus, and that is more than important cause it could get ugly in a small space  if there is any tension...But Selena guys are fun and nice, and Annika is also very sweet, and we got to know Unshine pretty well too. A Million Miles turned out to be really great people, and we had some huge moshing fun at Reeberbahn Metal bars !!! Respect! hehehe

We got very expensive tickets at the Swiss border,  our bus broke down in a deep middle of a Lithuanian countryside by tons of liquids floating on the bus floor....our navigator and x-box got stolen in Germany....we got some strange viruses attackin us and got everyone bruised, some talking with the police  ect.  heheh. But nothing serious, luckily. Basic boogie. 

I have been sick ever since I got home, and try to work on things....we should make some new plans again.... for the future...for Manzana...new songs...new pics....new tourss.....I LOVE IT let´s do it again!

I want to thank EVERYONE we met on the road, all the friends and fans and bookers, helpers, drivers and other bands and  EVERYONE , It was pure love and pure energy to rock with you guys,  and it will be pure love in the future too!  And most of all we want to thank  all of you who were there in the audience to make it ALL worth every second,  by singing our songs and moshing to their tune !!! =) We love you.

MANZANA TO TOUR EUROPE WITH FOR SELENA AND SIN AND UNSHINE


Finnish rock-metal band Manzana has released the dates for European tour on April and May 2009. The tour will start on April 22nd in Hamburg, Germany, and will stop in 7 countries. The tour is called "Finnish Female Fronted Rock-Metal Tour 2009", as Manzana will be on the road with two other Finnish female fronted metal bands, For Selena And Sin and Unshine. German rockband A Million Miles will also join the tour for Berlin, Braunchweig and Hamburg shows.

Manzana released their second album "Babies Of Revolution" in Finland on September 2008, and it went on chart number 28. Manzana's debut "Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart" was released in Finland on December 2007, and it went on album chart 24th, single "Falling To Pieces" number 2 the highest. The debut was released by Playground International in 24 countries, and on 2007 Manzana toured all Finland with bands like Apulanta, Teräsbetoni and Entwine, and Germany and Switzerland with Lovex, and visited several TV shows including MTV´s Headbangers Ball. On 2008 Manzana also toured some Baltic countries.

For Selena And Sin, a gothic pop-metal band, have released their debut "Overdose On You" by Dutch Mascot Records on 2007, and it was selected as an album of the month on Finnish metal magazine Inferno. Positive feedback from all over Europe made the band to tour more passionately than ever. Band made a lot of gigs in Europe and Russia. Touring included sold-out finnish tour with Volbeat.
Selena performed at The Finnish Metal Expo in Helsinki this year, and their second album is ready to be released by Mascot Records, later on 2009.

Unshine, a symphonic druid metal band, has also released two albums, "Earth Magick" on 2005, and "The Enigma Of Immortals" on 2008. The both albums have been released in Europe and also in the U.S. and in Russia. After the release of TEOI, band gained official chart positions in Finland and the album songs received airplay even in Bruce Dickinson's BBC Friday Rock Show. Previously band has performed e.g. in Bilborock (European-wide pop-contest in Bilbao, Spain) and in Finnish Tuska-festival.

Suomen "Tammahevi" -ylpeydet lyövät hynttyyt yhteen!


Tamperelainen rock-metal yhtye Manzana on julkaissut Euroopan kiertueensa päivämäärät.
Finnish Female Fronted Rock-Metal Tour 2009 nimeä kantava kiertue starttaa Saksan Hampurista 22.4. ja tulee kattamaan seitsemän maata. Manzanan seuraan kiertueelle liittyy niin ikään naislaulajat keulakuvinaan esiintyvät For Selena and Sin Jyväskylästä, sekä Unshine Helsingistä. Saksalainen Rock- Metal bändi A Million Miles liittyy myös seuraan Hampurin, Braunscweigin ja Berlinin keikoille.

Manzana julkaisi debyyttialbuminsa "Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart" tammikuussa 2007. Levy päätyi julkaisuviikolla albumilistan sijalle 24, singlen "Falling To Pieces" kivutessa aina sijalle 2. Albumin jälkeen yhtye keikkaili Suomessa mm. Apulannan, Teräsbetonin sekä Entwinen kanssa, tehden myös kiertueen Lovexin kanssa Saksaan ja Sveitsiin. Mediassa bändi sai mukavasti huomiota niin radioissa kuin televisiossa, vieraillen mm. MTV:n Headbangers Ballissa. Manzanan toinen albumi "Babies Of Revolution" julkaistiin miehistövaihdosten jälkeen Dynamic Arts Recordsin suojista syyskuussa 2008. Tällä kertaa albumi päätyi sijalle 28. Vuonna 2008 Manzana keikkaili Suomen kiertueen lisäksi myös Baltiassa.

For Selena and Sin -yhtyeen albumi "Overdosed on You" julkaistiin hollantilaisen Mascot Recordsin toimesta loppuvuonna 2007. Albumi nappasi mm. kuukauden levy- tittelin Inferno Magazinesta sekä toi pitkin Eurooppaa erittäin positiivista palautetta. FSAS keikkaili niin Euroopassa kuin Venäjällä, myös kiertäen Suomea yhdessä Volbeatin kanssa. Syksyllä 2008 bändi matkasi Ruotsiin, jossa valmistui kaikessa rauhassa "Primrose Path" nimeä kantava albumi. Tulevan julkaisun ohella For Selena and Sin on ehtinyt soittaa tänä vuonna jo lukuisia keikkoja, mm. Finnish Metal Expossa.

Kiertueen kolmas bändi Unshine on myös julkaissut kaksi albumia. "Earth Magick" näki päivänvalon vuonna 2005 ja "The Enigma Of Immortals" seurasi vuonna 2008. Unshinen musiikkia voi kuvailla sinfoniseksi druidimetalliksi ja yhtyeen molemmat albumit on julkaistu paitsi Euroopassa, myös USA:ssa sekä Venäjällä. "The Enigma Of Immortals" - albumi päätyi Suomessa listoille ja sai radiosoittoa mm. Bruce Dickinsonin Friday Rock Show - ohjelmassa BBC:llä. Aiemmin Unshine on esiintynyt mm. Baltiassa, Espanjan Bilborockissa ja Tuska-Festivaaleilla.

Manzana bereisen Europa mit For Selena And Sin und Unshine

Die finnische Rock-Metal Band Manzana hat die Tourdaten für ihre Europa Tour im April und Mai 2009 veröffentlicht. Die Tour wird am 22.04. in Hamburg/ Deutschland starten und führt durch 7 Länder. Die Tour bkam den Namen: "Finnish Female Fronted Rock-Metal Tour 2009", da Manzana mit zwei anderen Bands mit Frauen am Mikro unterwegs sind: For Selena And Sin und Unshine.

Manzana veröffentlichten ihr zweites Album "Babies Of Revolution" in Finnland im September 2008 und erreichten Platz 28 in den Charts. Ihr Debut " Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart" kam im Dezember 2007 raus und schaffte es bis auf Platz 24, die Single "Falling To Pieces" kam sogar bis auf Platz 2. Manzanas Debut wurde von Playground International in 24 Ländern veröffentlicht und 2007 gingen Manzana mit Bands wie Apulanta, Teräsbetoni und Entwine in Finnland und Lovex in Deutschland und der Schweiz auf Tour, und besuchten zahlreiche TV-Shows inklusive MTV's Headbangers Ball. Im Jahr 2008 tourten Manzana auch in den baltischen Staaten.
